Commercial Pricing Analyst
Location: Lakeside - Northampton

We, at Travis Perkins have a varied and influential opportunity for a commercially focused individual to join our General Merchanting Pricing Team.

Within this role you will provide support to Category Pricing Team, helping deliver the best commercial decisions for the business in our General Merchanting Division. You will achieve this by the provision of accurate, consistent and meaningful insights which allow the commercial teams to deliver performance. Using key pricing and statistical models, you will analyse underlying data trends to identify risks and opportunities that could affect the achievement of business objectives.

Key Accountabilities

- Provide accurate, consistent and meaningful reporting to both the team and wider business

- Support the Pricing Team in developing and delivering key performance metrics which help the business understand performance against our goals

- Manage and own all data requirements to deliver price reporting, including competitor matches, TP sales and pricing data

- Produce reports which create actionable insight and help drive improved business performance

Support the Category Pricing Team to develop and deliver key performance metrics which help the business understand category performance

It would be great if you had experience in

Your strong communication, influencing and relationship building skills with a diverse range of key stakeholders will be key for you to succeed within this role. As well as working as part of a team, you will be comfortable working independently using your own initiative and have an ability to manage multiple work demands in a fast paced growth environment.

You will have an affinity for data, confidently translating complex data sets into simple and actionable presentations. Your keen eye for detail and excellent commercial acumen means you will be able to handle the data to drive decisions and spot opportunities to add value and improve business performance. Experience in a commercial environment would be preferable but not essential. 

Experience in Business Intelligence tools such as Qlik, Tableau, SAS/R would be advantageous but not essential. Experience using Java scripting & Python / R would also be a plus.
